Tom and I are preparing to record the second episode of ClimbSci and we’re looking for questions! This time we’re going to be talking about carbohydrates, specifically how carbs fit into our diet in terms of energy provision—other carb-related topics like fiber we’re going to leave for future discussions.

    Hey,

    Thanks for the videos and articles, they are great ! My question on carbohydrates is about sport drink and sugar with sport activity. In my mind, when you eat sugar (simple on), the risk is the reactive hypoglycemia, which is a kind of « collapse » of energy level after a quick increase , is it right ? Effort drinks contain often other sugar, like sucrose, maltodextrin, dextrose, etc. Are they good ? What do you think about products containing glucose/fructose syrup ?
